Beacon Hill Financial has just teamed up with a law firm in Washington, DC to find a Controller. We are looking for someone with a "roll up your sleeves/go-getter" mentality to join their team. Some Job Responsibilities Include:

• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to, accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, general ledger, and taxes.
• Monitor bank account daily activity, reconcile the Firm's bank accounts, and resolve bank discrepancies.
• Initiate and manage wire transfers.
• Process cash receipts.
• Manage tax filings, including federal and state corporate estimated payments, sales and use, payroll, and special taxes. Ensure taxes are remitted on time and records are maintained.
• Review general ledger detail and make journal entries as needed, produce monthly financial statements, prepare monthly/YTD variance reports.
• Prepare management reports and create ad hoc reports/analysis as needed.
• Monitor the Firm's fixed asset list and manage the timely and accurate addition and removal of assets.
• Prepare and process semi-monthly and monthly payroll, HSA/HRA/FSA payments and 401(k) payments for approval and transmission, maintain payroll records, process garnishments.
• Work with external accounting firm to prepare K1's and firm tax returns.
• Other duties as assigned.
