Our client, a private university located in Cambridge, MA, is in search of a Credentialing Assistant to join their team! This is a full time role, Monday through Friday, with hours of 9am-5pm. It compensates $21-24 an hour depending on experience. The Credentialing Specialists is responsible for the process to ensure that all Licensed Independent Practitioner (LIP) are successfully and accurately credentialed in order to meet the clinical needs of the Department. Upon hire of a new LIP the Credentialing Specialist works collaboratively with the service are lead(s), Human Resources, and the candidate around gathering all relevant information in order to handoff to the CVO allowing them to take all necessary steps ensuring that the new hire is able to start working. The Credentialing specialist tracks current LIP's in order to ensure that they will be recredentialed within the required timeframe established by regulations without any laps in credentialing. The Credentialing specialist is the liaison between Medical and the CVO in order to be able to understand the status of the credentialing file(s) in order inform all relevant stakeholders of any barriers that exist to meeting the deadline for credentialing of new employees and recredentialing of current LIP's. All aspects of credentialing including establishing and following all processes necessary to meet regulations, participating in developing and updating policies, ensuring that each credentialing file is complete for current and past employee, fall under the oversight of the Credentialing Specialist. Responsible for reparation for credentialing committee meeting; collaboration with the committee chair around the agenda, ensuring that all LIP's due to be presented have complete files and passed on to successfully DocuSign by the relevant Chair/Department lead. The committee meeting minutes shall be the responsibility of the Credentialing Specialist. Candidates with a Credentialing background are encouraged to apply!
