Beacon Hill Legal is seeking a Bilingual (Spanish) Corporate Paralegal for our client an international corporation. This position is 100% in office. This new position reports and provides assistance to the In-House Legal Counsel in the USA to collaborate in the resolution of the different legal issues of the company always under the supervision of the attorneys located at the headquarters in Mexico.
Review, analyze, draft, and edit contracts, routine and /or non-complex legal issue with documents, which may include, master service agreements, severance agreements, statements of work, amendments, non-disclosure and vendor agreements, among others, as well as other legal documents base on business and legal needs, following the instructions of the In-House Legal Counsel.
- Perform legal research and analysis to facilitate and improve the internal decision-making process and ensure adequate protection of the Company's legal rights, interests and objectives.
- Perform regulatory research required for the feasibility studies in support of the regulatory team by staying abreast of relevant laws and regulations.
- Applies knowledge and experience analyzing and applying corporate laws and policies, as well as laws, rules, regulations, and other applicable legal requirements related to reviewing: the our clients product labeling and content of marketing advertising campaign proposals (ensuring they are in compliance with requirements of the FDA and FTC, among others), the privacy of distributor data, reviewing of cases generated by the Ethics department, other areas of compliance, always under supervision of the In-house Legal Counsel and lawyers from the headquarters in Mexico.
- Travel to support the company in the responsibilities assigned in the events it holds.
- Support other legal duties, projects and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Availability to travel.
- Time management skills, ability to prioritize, multitask, and work independently or teamwork to meet deadlines.
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Strong technical skills, experience using Thompson Reuters, Westlaw, or document management systems a plus.
- Knowledge of basic legal terminology, processes, documents, case flow.
- Professionalism at all times; positive and friendly attitude; willing to help however needed.
Education/ Experience:
- Must be bilingual in English and Spanish (Fluent in writing, reading, speaking).
- Paralegal certificate (is an essential requirement).
- Bachelor's degree is a plus.
- Knowledge of standard corporate legal department practices, procedures, and systems, including file and documents management.
- 3+ year's previous experience as paralegal in a corporate environment.
- Proficient with Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
