Beacon Hill Legal is seeking a Commercial Litigation Legal Assistant for our client a leading law firm specializing in comprehensive legal services. The Commercial Litigation Legal Assistant will provide the litigation team with comprehensive administrative and legal support. This role requires a detail-oriented and proactive individual who can manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of litigation processes and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Administrative Support:

Prepare, edit, and format legal documents, including pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and discovery materials.

Manage and organize case files, both physical and electronic, ensuring all document are correctly filed and easily accessible.

Schedule and coordinate meetings, depositions, and court appearances.

Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails, and mail.

  1. Case Management:

Assist attorneys in all phases of litigation, from initiation to settlement or trial.

Conduct legal research using online databases and other resources.

Coordinate document collection, review, and production in response to discovery requests.

Prepare and maintain case calendars, tracking important deadlines and court dates.

  1. Client Interaction:

Serve as a liaison between clients and attorneys, ensuring precise and timely


Handle client inquiries and provide updates on case status as directed by attorneys.

Schedule and prepare for client meetings, including preparing necessary


  1. Court Filings:

Electronically file documents with federal and state courts.

Ensure compliance with court rules and procedures for filings.

Track and monitor court docket and case status.

  1. Trial Preparation:

Assist in preparing and organizing trial materials, including exhibits, witness lists, and

trial binders.

Coordinate logistics for trial, including reserving conference rooms and arranging for

necessary equipment.

Support attorneys during trial, providing on-site assistance as needed.


Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a legal assistant, preferably in commercial litigation.

 Skills:

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  •  Redlining/Document Compare
  • Familiarity with legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Knowledge of federal and state court rules and procedures.
