Beacon Hill Legal is seeking a Paralegal with MedMal/Nursing Home Experience for our client a full-service and leading defense litigation law firm . This position is 100% in office for our Downtown Dallas location

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required, Paralegal Certificate preferred
  • Nurse Paralegal or Legal Nurse Consultant experience a plus
  • Medical malpractice and nursing home defense experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency in medical and damage analysis
  • 8+ years of paralegal experience
  • Ability to quickly learn proprietary software systems and databases
  • Exceptional business writing, grammar, and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and a team player
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Ability to integrate into a fast-paced environment, manage deadlines and adapt to changing priorities to
  • meet client needs

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and summarize medical records
  • Create medical chronologies and narrative summaries of medical records
  • Create billing record summaries
  • Communicating with fact witnesses and assisting attorneys with preparing same for depositions
  • Assist with obtaining and handling document production including client's policies and procedures,
  • employee files and facility records.
  • Determine, prepare, and organize materials needed for expert witness review
  • Contact and conduct investigative research on expert witnesses
  • Contact outside sources to retrieve information to review and analyze
  • Search and retrieve information from court-related databases as well as other online sources
  • Review, analyze and organize document productions by opposing parties and co-defendants
  • Summarize transcripts and organize key documents
  • Manage documents and maintain organized case files
