Beacon Hill Legal is seeking a Business Immigration Paralegal for our client a Texas litigation firm.:

The Paralegal plays a crucial role in supporting our Business Immigration Attorneys and is pivotal in ensuring efficient legal services to our clients.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drafts and files business immigration petitions and applications.
  • Prepares and reviews evidence and supporting documentation.
  • Meets with attorneys, clients, and other professionals to discuss assigned cases or projects.
  • Handles communication with government agencies and clients.
  • Manages client files and caseloads effectively.
  • Conducts thorough legal research and writes memoranda and reports.
  • Tracks critical deadlines using immigration software system
  • Develops and maintains records regarding billable hours spent on specific cases.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Adhere to Firm policies and procedures as outlined in the Firm Handbooks.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree, Paralegal Certificate or equivalent experience required.
  • 5+ years of business immigration experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of legal language and principles, research methods, court pleadings and processes, and
  • other related matters.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, and to exercise discretion and good judgment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
