This is a hybrid role - 3 days on site / 2 days work from home

Our client in the downtown Cleveland, Ohio area has a direct hire - IT Project Manager opening.

This position will interact with all levels of personnel and must be customer service focused. The Project Manager must be patient and integrate well with the stakeholders. They need someone who can interface with them and leverage technology for improvement.

Position Summary:

The IT Project Manager understands process and projects impacts to individual workers and the larger organization. They possess the ability to anticipate the business issues/challenges with little or no direct interpretation, formulate process solutions paths and gather the pertinent information by identifying the proper stakeholders that lead to process, cost and efficiency improvements. In addition, they assist in aligning with both technology strategic goals and emerging legal/industry trends.

The IT Project Manager will have strong functional expertise in Project Management, user experience feedback looping, workflow, UI and form design, collaboration tools (Webex, Office 365 Teams and datarooms), Video communications (Cisco, Tandberg), Document co-creation (iManage, SharePoint/OneDrive), Conferencing and Digital Whiteboarding tools and how they can be applied to business customers.

Essential Functions:

  1. Learns and understands the overall strategy, department-level strategy and/or practice group strategies and translates them into varying technology processes.
  2. Serves as a liaison among business stakeholders, IT team and staff in order to elicit, analyze, communicate and validate requirements for changes to business processes, policies and information systems products/services.
  3. Effectively navigates and operates within the triple constraints of project management: schedule, budget and scope.
  4. Research the capabilities of current and future tools and technology, collaborating closely with the associated team members (IT, IG, training, and practice groups) to understand fit/value/gaps.
  5. Analyzes qualitative and quantitative data (helpdesk tickets, training feedback, informal communication, root-cause analysis) to provide strategic and actionable insights and recommendations to the IT Department.
  6. Ensures issues are communicated, identified, tracked, reported on, and resolved in a timely manner.
  7. Partners with the IT Business Process Manager and CIO to advance the overall technology agility and innovation quotient.
  8. Mentors team members on project and process best practices.
  9. Understands data normalization and information management (i.e., security) best practices.
  10. Ability to deliver projects that are change oriented but cohesive in nature (no silos/strategic in alignment).
  11. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • The IT Project Manager must have a minimum 5 years of experience in a service oriented business environment.
  • A four-year undergraduate degree is preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Qualified candidates will have excellent Project Management skills, be detail oriented, and will have the ability to meet tight deadlines while balancing complex/overlapping initiatives.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are required.
  • Experience with formal project planning, functional requirements definition and design methodologies is preferred.
  • Must have demonstrated ability to manage, track and deliver simultaneous initiatives.
  • Must be able to seamlessly adapt as priorities, targets and strategies change or evolve.
  • Must possess understanding in the areas of application delivery, data management, process design and user interface design in a variety of architecture and toolsets.
