This is a hybrid role - candidate must be able to work on site 3 days a week

Our client in the North Canton, Ohio area is looking for a Director, IT PMO and Portfolio.

Principal Duties:

  • Responsible for the IT Project Portfolio and its related processes (intake, validation, selection, prioritization, monitoring, and benefits realization).
  • Responsible for continuous improvement of standards, processes, and systems used to facilitate and manage the PMO and portfolio.
  • Responsible for directing, coaching, and mentoring the PMO team made up of project/program managers, business analysts, and contractors.
  • Accountable the collection and tracking of project quality and performance measurements across the portfolio to ensure that risk/issues are being addressed.
  • Accountable for ensuring that planning is completed for all projects.
  • Develop and maintain the PPM tools, techniques, process, and guidelines.
  • Serves as a liaison and relationship manager between company leadership, IT, and other business units.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an IT management or enterprise PMO role.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in direct project management, including all aspects of project development and delivery implementation.
  • Expert proficiency in Portfolio Management skills: Evaluation, Governance, Resource planning, prioritization, and scheduling.
  • Experience facilitating Strategic and tactical planning exercises both internal and external to IT.
  • A strategic visionary with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment, and strong operational focus.
  • Demonstrated understanding of client relationship management, process mapping and improvement, project management, and production support.
  • PMP certification Agile/Scrum certifications preferred.
  • Strong proficiency with project management software, (Adobe Workfront, Microsoft Project, JIRA, etc.) preferred.
