Our client, a university located in Cambridge, MA, is seeking a temporary Tech Reunion Assistant to join their team on a temporary basis. This role will help with various administrative tasks to prepare for events being held on campus in the spring. It is Monday- Friday from 9am-5pm and pays $22 an hour.

Job Duties:

Pre-Reunion Prep:

-Stuff and send out confirmation mailing

-Stuff and file registration packets

-Prepare parking pass envelopes with dashboard card, access card

-Stuff name badges in holders, and holders in confirmation envelopes

-Other reunion preparation tasks as they arise

-Contact alumni regarding registration information

-Registration maintenance in Filemaker Event System.

-Provide customer service to alumni on phone, in person or by email regarding Tech Reunions.

-Register alumni over the phone for Tech Reunions.

-Prepare registration reports for staff and volunteers.

-Assist in the production and execution of registration confirmation materials

During Tech Reunions, staff Registration and Check-in:

-Assist in set up/breakdown of room

-Answer questions from alumni

-Provide assistance with onsite registration

-Other tasks as needed


-Bachelor's degree preferred.

-Experience in working in an office environment preferred.

-Must have excellent administrative skills and be detail-oriented with strong devotion to accuracy.

-Must be able to work with confidential information.

-Excellent interpersonal skills and verbal communication skills.

-Approach problems proactively with sense of urgency, creativity and resourcefulness.

-Must be flexible and able to work on several projects simultaneously.

-Must be able to work with frequent interruptions in a service-oriented environment.

-Ability to work well and calmly under pressure as part of a team.

-Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel a must. Prior event or volunteer experience a plus.
