We are partnered with a growing Healthcare Organization based in the Decatur, GA looking to add an Accounting Manager. This person will responsible for overseeing the payroll, AP, and month-end close process.

Seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Manager with expertise in payroll processing and accounts payable to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional who is passionate about finance and accounting and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Position Overview: As the Accounting Manager with a focus on processing payroll and accounts payable, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial stability and accuracy of our organization. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll processing and accounts payable, working closely with internal departments, vendors, and employees to maintain accurate and timely financial records.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Payroll Processing:
    • Manage and process payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
    • Prepare and distribute paychecks, direct deposits, and related payroll documents.
    • Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer employee payroll-related inquiries.
    • Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll laws and regulations.
  1. Accounts Payable:
    • Oversee the accounts payable process, including invoice verification, coding, and approval.
    • Process vendor invoices and prepare payments in a timely manner.
    • Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies with vendors.
    • Maintain accurate records of accounts payable and ensure proper filing and documentation.
  1. Financial Reporting:
    • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including month-end and year-end close processes.
    • Collaborate with the finance team to analyze financial data and provide insights for decision-making.
    • Support the annual audit process by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  1. Compliance and Recordkeeping:
    • Ensure compliance with all tax and labor laws related to payroll and accounts payable.
    • Maintain organized and comprehensive financial records.
    • Assist in the development and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Proven experience in payroll processing and accounts payable management.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, tax laws, and accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
