Position Overview:


The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in our accounting team, responsible for conducting high-level analyses of our financial processes and accounting principles. This role involves complex accounting activities, including preparing, reviewing, and analyzing financial records and reports. The Senior Accountant is expected to make recommendations based on accounting analysis and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
  • Conduct month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Coordinate with the accounting team to prepare consolidated financial statements.
  • Conduct variance analysis and prepare detailed account analysis and reconcile sales, cost, and inventory, liability accounts by customer type by division.
  • Review journal entries of junior accountants to ensure accuracy.
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls over financial reporting.
  • Research and resolve accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies.
  • Prepare for and coordinate internal and external audit processes.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Provide input into department's goal-setting process.
  • Assist in tax preparation and filing activities.
  • Mentor and support junior accounting staff.

Experience & Education:

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA or MBA is preferred but not required.
  • Prior public accounting experience is beneficial.
  • Experience in the manufacturing sector is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel.
