Position Summary:
A privately held, fully integrated Real Estate Development company is seeking a Property Accountant to join their team. This position will be responsible for a wide range of accounting tasks for the various properties aqcuired by the company.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Reconcile bank statements, balance sheet accounts, and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Support the month-end closing processes by preparing necessary entries and schedules.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and assist in the implementation of new accounting procedures.
- Participate in special projects as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- 2+ years of experience
- Excel experience is a plus
- Software experience is a plus
