Our growing client in the non-profit sector is seeking to a hire a motivated Senior Accountant to their team! This is a great opportunity to take on new challenges, as well as get involved in outside accounting duties such as special projects.
Responsibilities:
- Creates and posts adjusting journal entries, accruals, and cost allocations
- Maintains grant management module; runs monthly grant reports; maintains contracts and grant agreements monitors grant expenses and codes appropriately to funding sources.
- Monitors grant accounts receivables and temporary restricted net assets
- Assist in financial record keeping, year-end closing of finance books including reconciliation of accounts.
Requirements:
- Bachelors in Accounting or Finance
- 4+ years of relative accounting experience; at least 1+ years of experience in non-profit sector
- CPA a plus
- Experience mentoring staff (directly or indirectly)
