Position Summary:
A Real Estate Management company is seeking a Property Accountant to join their team. This position will have the opportunity to work closely with the Accounting Vice President and management teams to complete various accounting duties.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Reconcile bank statements, balance sheet accounts, and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Support the month-end closing processes by preparing necessary entries and schedules.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and assist in the implementation of new accounting procedures.
- Participate in special projects as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- 3+ years of experience
- property management experience is a plus
- property managemnt software experience is a plus
