Position Summary:
A highly reputable global manufacturing company is seeking a General Ledger Accountant to join their team. This position will be responsible for performing a wide range of General Ledger accounting duties and work closely with the Finance team.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Perform all quarterly General Ledger activities.
- Reconcile bank statements, balance sheet accounts, and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Ensure compliance with the GAAP while managing processes.
- Support the month-end and year-end closing processes by preparing necessary entries and schedules.
- Maintain proper internal controls.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and assist in the implementation of new accounting procedures.
- Provide all necessary support across companies in relation to the General Ledger.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field
- 5+ years of experience
- Knowledge of the GAAP is a plus
- Proficient knowledge of the GL is a plus
