Position Overview:
The Plant Controller is a key financial leader for business unit, responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with corporate financial policies, and providing strategic insights to enhance operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, and a commitment to driving financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and variance reports. Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to corporate headquarters.
- Monitor and control production costs, identifying areas for improvement. Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Oversee inventory valuation, accuracy, and reporting. Collaborate with operations to optimize inventory levels and reduce waste.
- Lead the annual budgeting process and ongoing forecasting. Work closely with department heads to align financial goals with operational plans.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies. Establish and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Provide analytical support to drive operational improvements. Evaluate capital expenditures and ROI for new projects.
- Manage and mentor the finance team at the plant, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Work closely with plant management, production teams, and corporate finance to align financial strategies with operational goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in finance or accounting, with a focus on manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting and financial analysis.
- Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
