Position Overview: Seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Income Tax Manager to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of income tax compliance, planning, and reporting for our organization. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our tax strategies align with business objectives while adhering to regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local income tax returns. Ensure timely and accurate compliance with all tax regulations.
  • Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize the organization's tax position. Identify opportunities for tax savings and risk mitigation.
  • Stay updated on tax legislation and industry trends. Conduct research on tax issues and provide guidance to internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate tax-related financial reporting and disclosures in accordance with GAAP.
  • Assist with tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities. Prepare documentation and respond to requests in a timely manner.
  • Supervise and mentor junior tax staff. Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.
  • Work closely with other departments (e.g., finance, legal, operations) to provide tax insights and support business initiatives.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in income tax, with a strong background in corporate/public tax compliance and planning.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
