ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with Practice Management, Business Development, and Business Intake teams to develop and implement pricing strategies and alternative fee arrangements (AFAs).
- Lead pricing analyses for client proposals, annual rate-setting processes, and fee negotiations, ensuring firm profitability and client satisfaction.
- Evaluate pricing requests in RFPs and work with the Business Intake Committee to formulate appropriate responses and obtain necessary approvals.
- Monitor client/matter performance against budgets, tiered fee structures, and other key metrics, providing updates and reports to responsible attorneys and firm management.
- Analyze firm/client/matter profitability by collaborating with Business Insights and Data Scientists to identify areas for improved efficiency and cost management.
- Develop user-friendly tools for capturing profitability data and create comprehensive reports for senior management and client presentations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field; an MBA, JD, or other related advanced degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience conducting financial analysis, preparing reports, and analyzing budget data, with law firm experience required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and experience with financial modeling and reporting tools (Aderant and SQL Server Reporting Services preferred).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform comprehensive financial data analyses and develop pricing and forecast models.
- Project management experience with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations with professionalism and diplomacy.
