ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process Multi-state Payroll for 1k+ employees
- Administer the electronic timesheet process, including verification, reconciliation, and compliance with FLSA classifications and state-specific labor laws.
- Reconcile federal, state, and local tax amounts withheld and payments for each payroll cycle, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations.
- Execute payroll payments following documented control processes, performing audits before completion.
- Collaborate with international office management on payroll preparation and multi-currency ledger postings, and prepare taxable benefits for payroll inclusion.
- Develop training materials, participate in training sessions, and resolve complex payroll-related problems for internal customers.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- MUST have CPP or Professional Certification in Payroll.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field is required
- Minimum of six (6) years of experience processing payroll in a complex business environment with multiple payroll schedules and multistate taxation.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to meet frequent deadlines with high accuracy and urgency.
- Excellent attention to detail and demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing, maintaining confidentiality.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles, and ability to track, organize, analyze, and report financial data clearly.
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel and Word, ability to use cloud-based HR/Payroll suites, report writers, execute queries, prepare journal entries, and reconcile payroll to ledger data.
