Beacon Hill Financial is working with a non-profit client to find a Staff Accountant to join their team. This person will report to the Accounting Manager and be responsible for ap/ar, working within the general ledger, and handling bank and credit card reconciliations. Job Description:
- Records daily cash postings and reconcile the bank and settled credit card transactions.
- Monitors accounts receivable aging including appropriate follow-up with members to ensure timely collection.
- Maintains and updates compliance schedule report and follow up with team on upcoming regarding overdue accounts.
- Prepares journal entries, analyses, and general ledger account reconciliations.
- Performs monthly reconciliation of assigned general ledger accounts.
- Records adjusting and reclassification journal entries.
- Assists with preparation of the annual budget.
- Performs year-end audit reconciliations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Provides system training and onboarding of new staff.
