POSITION: ACCOUNTANT

LOCATION: NORTH RIDGEVILLE, OH

INDUSTRY: MANUFACTURING

A well established and rapidly growing manufacturing company located in North Ridgeville, OH is seeking an Accountant to join their team! This is an in-office position with tons of opportunity for growth! This position will compile, prepare and maintain financial reports to track the organization's assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities and assist with month end closing activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Backup for balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.
  • Maintain the general ledger and reconcile bank accounts monthly.
  • Handle RMA processing, including auditing entries, posting credits, and customer communication.
  • Manage asset depreciation using SAGE Software; assist auditors at year-end.
  • Process and pay various state taxes.
  • Calculate month-end journal entries and maintain account reconciliations.
  • Assist outside auditors with necessary account information.
  • Prepare and submit financial reports to regulatory agencies.
  • Coordinate accounting software maintenance and updates.
  • Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
  • Perform general cost accounting and maintain insurance certificates.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Extensive knowledge of general financial and cost accounting.
  • Adherence to generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Proficient with accounting software and major ERP systems.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Education & Experience

  • Associate degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline required; BA degree preferred.
  • Three to five year
