Our client, a major law firm in NYC, is seeking a Legal Billing Specialist to lead the invoicing and payment processes for partners and the NYC office.
The specialist will monitor and prepare monthly aging accounts receivable reports, overseeing follow-ups for underpayments and all discrepancies. A strong understanding of complex billing processes and compliance with client engagement letters and outside counsel guidelines is essential. Responsibilities will also include preparing detailed bills, responding to inquiries, reviewing timekeeper diaries for compliance, and conducting ad hoc client analyses. Additionally, the specialist will coordinate with internal finance teams to ensure accurate invoicing and timely submission.
The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor's degree in finance or business administration and have 2+ years of relevant billing and client relationship experience in a professional service or law firm environment. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is strongly preferred.
