Our client, a family office, is seeking a Facilities/House Manager for a private property in Southampton, New York. This is an exciting opportunity at a brand new property of a prominent family in NJ/NY. Seeking a hardworking, flexible candidate to join this collegial and respectful work environment. This is an onsite position and the hours during the off season (typically September - May) are 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday. During high season in the summer, schedules will vary with weekend work and overtime required.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all functions, equipment, and systems of the property
- Communicate daily with Property Manager and Estate Manager
- Conduct or assign general repair work including painting, garbage removal, outdoor cleaning, landscapers, A/V
- Perform and supervise routine and scheduled maintenance of property and daily inspections of property and equipment
- Respond to emergency calls
- Assist with special events
- Ensure the readiness of the property for family's use
- Provide miscellaneous support to the overall needs of the family
Qualifications:
- College degree preferred but not required
- 5+ years performing similar work ideally at a University, College, or high-end hotel or resort
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Proactive and professional demeanor under pressure
- Proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Resides in Hamptons or surrounding Long Island area
- Valid Driver's License
- Knowledgeable about vendor management, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, and AV setup
- Comfortable working in a home that includes children and pets
Compensation/Benefits:
- Up to $140k to $160k plus bonus
