CONTROLLER - Chicago

We are leading a confidential search for a Controller for our client in Chicago. The Controller will oversee all financial accounting and reporting for the firm. The ideal Controller candidate will have 10+ years of accounting experience, either from public accounting, corporate or a combination of both.

Controller responsibilities:

* Lead corporate accounting and financial reporting
* Provide financial guidance to the CFO and President
* Improve processes over operational accounting and financial reporting
* Assist with budgeting and forecasting
* Lead cash flow forecasting and analysis
* Work with external audit on year-end
* Apply a creative mindset to solve problems across the company
* Lead special projects

Requirements:
* Undergraduate degree in accounting and CPA is strongly preferred
* 10+ years of experience between public accounting and corporate accounting, or straight public
* Strong communication skills, ability to explain finance and numbers to non-financial people.
