Grants Accountant
Our client, a Boston based Not-for-Profit, has an immediate opening for a Grant Accountant to join their team. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Grants Accountant will be responsible for the full, Accounts Receivable, Cash Receipts, Biweekly Payroll Reconciliation, Grants & Contract Billing and Reporting
Responsibilities:
- Review all contract billing vouchers for accuracy of calculations, adequacy of backup, compliance with contract terms and authorization and compliance with company policies and government requirements.
- Reconcile contract balances.
- Prepare monthly invoicing and post into accounting system.
- Manage daily cash receipts and post into accounting system.
- Reconcile monthly cash account and file cash receipt documents.
- Report daily cash to Senior Management Team.
- Prepare reconciliation of biweekly payroll processing
- Prepare payroll journal entry to submit to CFO for review and approval bi-weekly
- Set up new grants
- Management of terms and conditions of grant and contract agreements
- Monitoring of Grant and Contract Expenses
- Assist with month-end close process including preparation of monthly financial statements for VP Finance to review.
- Provide assistance with annual budget preparation.
- Assist with yearly audit preparation.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree (Accounting preferred)
- 2+ years of General Ledger experience
- 1+ years of Grant Accounting experience
