Business Manager - Boston, MA

Our client, a Boston-based architecture company, is seeking a Business Manager to support their office. The role is mostly centered around working in Accounting and Finance functions with additional Human Resource and Administrative functions.

Job Description

• Responsible for the Accounts receivable, including processing of checks, cash and online payment activity, and preparation of invoices as needed
• Accounts payable, with particular attention to timely payment of invoices
• Month end close and maintaining general ledger
• Preparation of monthly budget vs. actuals reports
• Reconciliation of bank, credit card, and petty cash accounts on a monthly basis
• Adherence to internal accounting controls and procedures
• Other financial/compliance matters as needed
• Supporting HR functions, including: On-boarding and off-boarding processes, personnel records/compliance and benefits administration & help to triage general administrative needs

Requirements

• 6+ years experience in a similar role is strongly preferred
• Bachelors Degree in Accounting or a related field preferred
• A high level of attention to detail and accuracy and excellent administrative and organizational skills.
• Able to work independently and meet multiple deadlines
• Strong skills in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
