Category Specialist Lead (P2P)- Remote
Our client, a rapidly growing technology company, is seeking a Category Specialist Lead to join their team! This role is slated to be a 6-month long contract with the possibility to convert and will be 100% remote! This position will join the newly implemented Procure to Pay team and assist with building a global procurement strategy and function that will help scale the continued growth of the company!
Responsibilities:
- Maintain files and audit compliance regulations
- Oversee the VRM (Vendor Risk Management) queue to ensure all global assessments are completed promptly across VRM teams (Privacy/Security, P2P, and Legal).
- Collaborate with the P2P function to identify opportunities for continuous and business improvements, maintaining a customer-centric approach.
- Ensure that team SLAs and metrics are met, focusing on accuracy and efficiency in completing work.
- Partner with Category Specialists to ensure adherence to department standards and that individual SLAs are being met.
- Conduct weekly one-on-one meetings with Category Specialists to monitor ticket processing, address blockers or risks, and escalate issues to the Manager, Category Management when necessary.
- Manage key elements of contract deliverables and maintain a global contracts tracking database.
- Assist in the assembly, editing, and negotiation of new contracts and renewals in collaboration with business stakeholders and departments such as Legal, Security, and Privacy.
- Support risk management activities, including collecting and reviewing third-party risk management collateral, facilitating risk mitigation plans, and conducting third-party performance reviews.
- Triage and respond to vendor and business owner inquiries in a timely manner.
- Communicate effectively with global entities and vendors.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business or relevant field is preferred
- 5+ years of experience working with a procurement team is a plus!
- Knowledge/familiar with ServiceNow system
- Managing experience
