Senior Payroll Administrator - Hybrid / Boston, MA

As a Senior Payroll Administrator, you will oversee the accurate and timely processing of both domestic and international payrolls. Key responsibilities include working with the Manager and Director to enhance payroll processes and ensure quality control throughout the payroll cycle. You will join a team of four responsible for processing payroll for 1,000 employees across the US and globally, utilizing Workday, Expert, and Excel for reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately process biweekly, monthly, partner, and international payrolls.
  • Maintain expertise in payroll systems, accounting practices, and Federal/State wage & hour laws.
  • Prepare and manage reports from the Time Tracking System.
  • Ensure proper documentation and approval of payroll changes.
  • Load payroll-related imports from various departments.
  • Assist Payroll Managers with quarterly and annual tax report reconciliation.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to payroll inquiries from employees.
  • Stay updated on reporting functions of payroll software.
  • Enter monthly Moving Expenses, Tuition Forgiveness, and other taxable fringe benefits.
  • Assist the finance department with payroll account bank statement queries.
  • Collaborate with peers to ensure effective task management and cross-training for coverage.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as needed.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency with payroll systems (Expert and Workday experience is a plus, but not required)
  • International payroll experience is a plus
  • Strong Excel skills (Pivots/Lookups)
