Our client, a law firm in Boston, is seeking a Legal Recruitment Manager to own attorney recruiting.

Some responsibilities include:

  • Developing and driving direct-sourcing/headhunting campaigns aligned with client demand. This would involve making direct contact with target lawyers, provoking preliminary conversations and gathering and sharing market intelligence.
  • Owning full-cycle attorney recruitment process
  • Strategizing, implmenting, and building out a summer internship program for campus recruiting
  • Working with our client team to source and 'match' suitable candidates from our panel of consultant lawyers to client engagements.
  • Manage lateral partner onboarding
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local law schools and affinity bar associations. Identify and coordinate internship opportunities firm-wide.
  • Work with Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee on initiatives to broaden candidate pool.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree and/or Advanced Degree from accredited college or university required.
  • A minimum of five years of recruitment experience in a law firm.
  • Knowledge of and experience in the U.S. legal market, ideally gained by working within a law firm.
  • Experience of managing attorney recruitment process
  • A collaborative, solutions-focused mind-set.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to quickly establish rapport, build trust and demonstrate credibility with a range of personalities.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a meticulous eye for detail.
  • Genuine enthusiasm for our business and a grasp of potential future opportunities.
