Our client, a manufacturing firm located in Cicero, is looking for a temporary-to-hire HR Representative. This role is open due to growth.

Job Description
* Weekly payroll processing, resolve payroll discrepancies with employees, accounting and HRIS
* Daily compliance of Timekeeping and attendance, point of contact for payroll specialist
* Process accurate enrollment and termination updates in a timely manner.
* Support employees with benefit questions including, time off requests, LOA and established policies, forms, records and practices. Timely resolution of all employee issues.
* Maintain accurate databases and complete employment files; Employee Action forms, I-9 documentation, and purging employee files to ensure compliance with legal requirements. Perform ongoing audit of employment files.
* Responsible for responding to verification of employment requests and unemployment claims.
* Assists in developing and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
* Coordination of end of year function.
* Updates employee personnel changes and processes paperwork
* Files papers and documents into appropriate employee folders
* Prepares new employee files; maintains member data and personnel files in accordance with state and federal regulation.
* Assist Payroll department with hours reporting and issues.
* Point of contact for managers and members on STD and FMLA claims and all HR related matters.
* Maintain announcements on HR board; bereavement, perfect attendance & weekly points report
* Knowledge of Human Resources practices and policies, and applicable state and federal laws
* Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the Human Resources Manager

REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
* Minimum 3 years of related experience
* High school Diploma required
* Strong communication, organization skills

PREFERRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
* Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
* Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, payroll and timekeeping software
* Ability to apply proper understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to solve a variety of problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited information or standardization exists.
