Our client, an engineering company in Westborough, is seeking a temporary Import/Export Coordinator to join the team to cover a leave. This role is paying $25-29/hour based on experience and is Monday through Friday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working within Imports or exports with a worldwide company.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Organize air and ocean shipments from point of origin to the final destination.
  • Prepare and process import and export documentation according to U.S customs regulations while ensuring 100% compliance for all products imported and exported.
  • Manage and maintain an organized recordkeeping system for import and export transactions.
  • Screen export orders for compliance with U.S. Government denied party listings.
  • Serve as day-to-day liaison with custom brokers and other external partners to resolve clearance and other issues.
  • Maintain global import/export Harmonized Tariff Schedule classifications, ECCN numbers and country of origin information.
  • Review all AES transmissions for accuracy.
  • Effective communication with customers, vendors, and co-workers through a high volume of e-mails, phone calls and verbal contact.
  • Be prepared to learn all aspects of the team's work with desire and ability to provide cover and assistance on a regular basis.
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of Incoterms
  • Strong desire to expand knowledge and grow
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic and a team player
  • Excellent attention to detail, and organized
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
