Our client is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to join their team. This is a permanent role by way of contract to hire. This can be 100% remote.

Position Description:

Designing and configuring architectural solutions in ServiceNow Discovery

Discovering foundational CI data for the CMDB

Working with multiple teams to improve data integrity

Developing and implementing discovery patterns, Probes, sensors, and technical solutions
Troubleshooting issues with Discovery data

Windows, Unix, Network devices, Storage, Databases, Cloud Servers
Managing ServiceNow Discovery mid-Servers
Writing automation scripts
ITIL Configuration Management

ITOM related processes

Find additional business opportunities for improvement
Preparing management reports and dashboards
Mentoring and supporting junior analysts

Required Skills:

5+ years of experience working in infrastructure field (server admin, experience working with cloud and operating systems)

Hands-on experience with discovery of AWS and Azure cloud resources

System administration experience using SHELL/BASH and/or PowerShell
Knowledge of XML and JSON/script language concepts
Scripting using JavaScript, Groovy, PowerShell, Bash, RegEx, SQL, etc

3+ years of experience working with ServiceNow:

Experience designing and implementing integrations using ServiceNow Integration Hub and custom integration

Experience with REST API etc. to enrich CMDB

Hands-on experience designing, implementing, and managing ServiceNow Discovery

Experience or knowledge of IP Subnets to develop effective ServiceNow Discovery schedules

Experience creating/updating ServiceNow Discovery IP ranges and schedules

ServiceNow Cloud Discovery experience with Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Cloud APIs, Cloud Containers, etc

Experience or ability working with CI IRE rules, discovery logs (errors), patterns and probes (debugging)
Knowledge of HTTP, TCP, SNMP, SOAP, and REST
Good knowledge of Discovery, MID Server Architecture, Probes, Sensors, Identifiers & Business rules

Bonus Skills:

ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) Discovery
