Jira Administration
- Configure and manage Jira instances, including setting up projects, boards, workflows, and custom fields
- Implement and maintain permissions and access controls in Jira
- Perform regular system maintenance, upgrades, and optimization
Jira Modules & Integration
- Expert-level knowledge in Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and Jira Core
- Proficiency in managing and configuring Jira plugins and add-ons such as ScriptRunner, Portfolio, Risk Register, WBS Gantt, Project Link, Forms
- Integrate Jira with other Atlassian tools like Confluence, Microsoft Excel and Project, as well as third-party applications
Workflow Design & Automation
- Design and implement custom workflows to support various project and issue types
- Develop and deploy Jira automation rules using Jira Automation, ScriptRunner, and other automation tools
- Create and manage custom scripts for Jira using Groovy, Python, or similar scripting languages
Reporting & Dashboards
- Develop custom reports and dashboards in Jira to meet the specific needs of various stakeholders
- Utilize Jira Query Language (JQL) to create complex queries for data extraction and reporting
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics
User Support & Training
- Provide expert-level support and troubleshooting for Jira users
- Conduct training sessions and create documentation for end-users and administrators
- Advocate best practices for Jira usage and project management within the organization
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Jira administration and configuration
- In-depth knowledge of Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and Jira Core
- Proficiency in managing Jira plugins and add-ons such as ScriptRunner, Portfolio, and others as defined or needed
- Experience with Jira integrations involving Confluence and other third-party tools
- Strong scripting skills with Groovy, Python, or similar languages
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Jira Administrator or Jira Project Administrator certification
- Experience with Jira deployments and Atlassian Data Center
- Minimum Secret level clearance
