New York City Office of well-known law firm is looking for a Litigation Paralegal to support their litigation department. This is a great opportunity for a Litigation Paralegal, with at least 3 years of commercial litigation experience, to be at the forefront of some complex and interesting cases. Previous employment in a medium or large law firm is a plus. Matters include product liability, class action defense and commercial litigation nationwide. Must have strong familiarity with: technology such as MS Office and e-Discovery software; cite-checking and Bluebook; trial preparation; document production; medical records and medical chronologies.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

• Case, matter and document management
• Document production and handling all aspects of trial preparation
• Assist with and manage coordination deposition
• Filings - state and federal
• Performs research (factual, legal, internet, and other) to identify issues and relevant matters and prepares comp
• Familiar with following department and firm administrative procedures and policies
• Assists with and manages ad hoc projects when requested
• Coordinating with outside vendors and service providers
• Work with attorneys in preparing for depositions, trials and arbitrations, as well as ensuring that logistics, exhibits, filings and deadlines are managed
• Liaise with attorneys, internal lines of business, clients and court personnel

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree
• Paralegal certification preferred
• At least 3 years of experience as a Litigation Paralegal dealing with commercial litigation matters
• Must be flexible to work overtime when needed
