Retirement Fund is looking for a Paralegal to assist the legal department with a variety of tasks and projects. The Paralegal will get to be an integral part of the legal team whose purpose is to provide retirement benefits for the company's employees throughout the U.S. You will be part of a team of legal experts in investment management and benefits administration who are dedicated to ensuring the Fund is a results-driven, high-quality provider of financial services and education to the people they serve.

Job Description:

  • Draft, edit and maintenance of various contracts and documents including corporate agreements, investment documents and employee benefits related documents
  • Corporate governance and housekeeping - taking minutes, maintenance of board materials, etc.
  • Work with attorney on correspondence related to litigation, compliance, corporate and benefits
  • Assist with AML and KYC questionnaires as it relates to retirement officers
  • Maintenance and upkeep of all contracts
  • Review powers of attorney, trust documents, estate documents and ensure these documents are in compliance according to state laws
  • Legal research and due diligence

REQUIREMENTS :

  • At least 3 years of experience as a Paralegal. Experience with ERISA, employee benefits, pension plans, retirement funds and contracts is a MUST.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
