This is a great opportunity to join a mission-driven boutique law firm located in New York City. The firm focuses on representing developers in a wide range of real estate transactions, including the development and operation of affordable housing development, community facilities, charter schools and mixed-use projects under federal, state and city programs. The firm has a busy commercial real estate practice and is looking to add an attorney with at least 5 years of commercial real estate experience.
Responsibilities will include:
* Representing borrowers and developers in all aspects of commercial real estate projects, including affordable housing developments financed by low-income housing tax credit equity, tax exempt municipal bonds and private debt.
* Drafting and negotiating contracts of sale, commercial leases, joint venture agreements, equity documents, loan documents, etc.
* Advising clients regarding project ownership structure, entity formation and income and property tax exemptions
All candidates must be admitted to practice in New York, and have a J.D. from an accredited Law School. The firm offers competitive compensation plus 4 weeks of vacation.
