About Us: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team and contribute to our continued success.

Position Overview: You will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting various finance-related activities. You will work closely with the Finance Manager and other team members to help manage the company's financial transactions and contribute to its overall financial health.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts, including posting journal entries, ensuring accuracy, and resolving discrepancies.

  2. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process accounts payable invoices, prepare and send customer invoices, and follow up on outstanding receivables.

  3. Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure that all financial transactions are accurately recorded.

  4. Expense Reporting: Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.

  5. Financial Analysis: Assist in preparing financial statements, reports, and budgets to support decision-making processes.

  6. Tax Compliance: Assist in preparing tax filings, including sales tax, payroll tax, and income tax.

  7. Audit Support: Provide documentation and support during internal and external audits.

  8. Month-End and Year-End Close: Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

  9. Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the finance department.

  10. Ad Hoc Projects: Collaborate on special projects as needed to support the finance team and company goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 2+ years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
