Our client, a nonprofit organization located in Newton, MA, is seeking a Marketing and Communications Coordinator to join their team! In this role you will assist staff with the implementation of innovative marketing and social media strategies. You will be responsible for monitoring and posting to social networks daily, participating in online outreach and promotion, and working in partnership with the Marketing Director and website manager to create a dynamic web presence. This position utilizes a combination of daily social network management, paid ad campaigns, online outreach and promotion, blogs, and website content to drive social strategy. This position requires strong skills in design, social media management, and the ability to multi-task, be self-sufficient, dependable, cope under pressure, maintain good judgment, and be eager to learn while maintaining a professional and supportive attitude. The ideal candidate must possess excellent computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, Constant Contact, Canva, and a strong knowledge of the digital media landscape. This roles hours are Monday through Friday, from 9AM to 5PM and is compensating up to $25/hr. Qualifies candidates are encouraged to apply for consideration!

Reporting to the Marketing Director the key responsibilities include:

  • Manage and grow the companies social media and digital presence through daily and weekly content utilizing our various social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
  • Develop and distribute special and weekly congregational emails using Constant Contact (including creating the emails, managing the approval process and distribution lists, and evaluating the analytics).
  • Support Marketing Director to help develop and strategize marketing for diverse events and programs.
  • Manage constituency-based distribution lists and send e-mail and print announcements.
  • Manage the advertising of events on external websites and online community groups.
  • Post and Manage digital media boards in the synagogue including daily schedules and event promotion.
  • Support Marketing Director on the creative development of key digital marketing campaigns, including copywriting, design, and production, in collaboration with the marketing team.

Who You Are

  • Minimum of 1 or more years of experience in digital marketing, digital graphic design, and/or copywriting.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Solid working knowledge of Facebook Business Manager, Facebook Analytics, Google Ads, and Google Analytics.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with drive, patience, and a sense of humor.
  • A team player who develops collaborative and productive relationships with a wide variety of people.
  • Solid experience with design & website software: Adobe, Constant Contact, WordPress, and Canva.
  • A confident self-starter who asks questions anticipates issues and tackles problems and obstacles.
  • Creative work samples (written and/or visual) may be requested.
