Pharmacy Technician 3 is accountable for assisting pharmacists in the retrieval, processing, preparation and distribution of medications and sterile products for patient administration. These activities include but are not limited to: unit dose medications and IV admixtures, parenteral nutrition, floor stock pharmaceuticals, controlled substances, and other defined systems.
High School diploma or equivalent required. Good communication skills are essential.
Required Credentials, License and/or Certifications:
National Pharmacy Technician Certification and Ohio State Board of Pharmacy registration required
Requires: 2+ years as a Pharmacy Technician 2, CPhT required. Inpatient hospital experience is required. 1+ year experience compounding drug experience, 1+ year experience of IV experience.
