As a Senior Research Associate, you will join the Delivery Sciences team and embrace the opportunity to transform amazing sciences and technologies into powerful cures. You will be responsible for providing analytical characterization and formulation support in within the LNP platform group, exploring reproducibility, robustness and scalability of LNPs through analytical characterization. Understand how lipid chemistry, composition, formulation process and cargo modulate the LNP properties (biophysical, in vitro, in vivo activity).

Main responsibilities also include:

• Formulation and characterization of LNP and nanoparticle delivery systems (Dynamic light scattering, Ribogreen, UPLC / HPLC-based analytics).
• Exploring new LNP characterization tools (UV-Vis, plate based colorimetric and UPLC/HPLC based) and their utility in rational design of LNP systems particularly assays that elucidate LNP and encapsulated cargo compositions.
• Conduct experiments, independently and in collaboration with colleagues in support of project goals.
• Communicate research and development findings with internal and external partners.
• Assist in maintaining general laboratory functionality, including lab equipment maintenance and the ordering, and receiving of lab supplies.
• Maintain/ write SOPs, and establish assays using pre-existing SOPs for LNP analytics and modify as required.

Other qualifications and desired skills include:

• MS or BS with 3+ years of experience
• Previous experience with UPLC/HPLC-based analytics and LNP formulation is a must.
• Experience with LNP formulation process optimization is a plus
• Organized, detail-oriented, and demonstrated independent thinker who continuously seeks innovative solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, teamwork, and strong problem-solving skills
