You are a highly motivated, collaborative, communicative and enthusiastic scientist excited to support the company at a critical stage in its growth trajectory in developing oligonucleotide therapeutics. You support our team of drug discovery scientists as we perform analytical assays and biophysical characterization of Lipid Nanoparticle formulations. Your ability and desire to thrive in a nimble, fast-paced, results-driven environment will set you up for success.
The opportunity:
In this fast-paced interdisciplinary role you will be working with various team of senior scientists conducting analytical assays, biophysical characterization and supporting Lipid Nanoparticle formulations. You will have the opportunity to contribute to synthesis, purification, and characterization of oligonucleotide constructs for SAR studies. You'll be expected to master techniques like RNA quantification, DLS, HPLC, LC-MS as well as bioconjugations.
The necessities:
To thrive on our team, you will need to come with:
- BS/MS in biochemistry, molecular biology, pharmaceutical sciences, analytical chemistry, chemical biology, medicinal chemistry, or other relevant scientific discipline
- Familiarity with plate-based fluorescence assays and/or nucleic acid based bioanalytical assays is required.
- Hands on experience with analytical characterization and quantification of RNA (RiboGreen assay, Nanodrop, DLS & Zeta measurements) is highly desirable.
- Experience with peptide, lipid and nucleic acid bioconjugations is highly desirable.
- Experience with Lipid Nanoparticle Formulations is highly desirable.
- Experience with high throughput screening assays is a plus
- Experience with bioconjugations, reverse-phase and ion-exchange based purification and LC-MS / MALDI-TOF characterization is a plus.
- A strong goal-oriented team player mindset with excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, an attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to work independently with guided supervision, while maintaining the highest ethical and scientific standards.
