Our law firm client is a leader in handling complex civil litigation. Their team is passionate about litigating cases in state and federal courts, and has decades of experience handling legal issues. Their clients include leaders in the motor vehicle, drug and medical device, chemical product, consumer product, and heavy equipment industries.

Responsibilities:

Prepare, edit and proofread a variety of documents (correspondence, agreements and pleadings).

Work with attorneys to keep litigation advancing in each case; including taking the initiative to regularly update team members on the status of cases and quickly alerting attorneys to important client and case needs.

Assist attorneys with discovery, including discovery requests, depositions and issuing subpoenas.

Assist with document review and analysis through various platforms.

Manage electronic case files using a document management system (iManage) to ensure information is organized and easy to locate.

Prepare for trail (including compiling trial materials, coordinating witnesses, preparing and issuing trial subpoenas, preparing and managing exhibits, attending trial).

Qualifications:

4+ years of paralegal experience in a civil litigation firm environment along with trial experience

Ability to travel nationwide to attend trial

Must be familiar with and able to follow client billing guidelines, enter and record accurate billing entries

Ability to lift 30 lbs (files and boxes)

Education and Experience:

A Bachelor's Degree, Paralegal Certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience
