This is a new position within our firm and is an ideal opportunity for:
* A detailed-oriented, hands-on professional, who takes full accountability for the payroll process from start to finish beginning with compiling data, processing payments and reporting for multiple entities in 10 countries.
* A strong communicator with the ability to move fluidly between communication styles to meet a varied audience; this individual may present to management one day and collaborate with technical teams the next.
* A curious mind with an eagerness to improve existing workflows and assist in implementing new processes and systems.
* An analytical individual who enjoys getting in "the weeds" to reconcile differences and prepare supporting schedules.
* A self-starter who appreciates meeting deadlines while focusing on constant improvement.
Responsibilities
* Compile / compute / track payroll data including hours worked, bonuses earned, pay rate changes, deductions, voluntary deductions, new hire information, termination information, leave of absence information, direct deposit, benefit deductions among others
* Process multi-state bi-monthly US payroll for 200+ employees
* Coordinate payroll administration with external accountants in Asia and Europe
* Assist with annual payroll budgeting process
* Stay abreast of current events relative to payroll administration on Federal and State levels and advises team members of relative events and changes in the laws
* Administer company 401k plan, including enrollment and termination of participants, annual plan reporting, bi-monthly contribution and annual audit process
* Coordinate efforts with Finance staff for reporting payroll expenses and annual audit support
* Accumulate and organize information to ensure that related payroll accounts are reported properly to Federal, State and Local agencies as required
* Research and follow up on notices received by various governmental agencies
* Register the company and establish required payroll liability accounts with new states as needed
* Track and report on employee Offset program
* Assist in onboarding employees in GP Investor program
* Assist in tracking, reporting, and documenting of Carried Interest Allocations
* Collect, compile, and analyze data and prepare a variety of reports for various department initiatives
* Support Manager, Payroll & Carried Interest on other initiatives as assigned
* Using strong relationship-building skills to act as a great cross-functional business partner who advises colleagues
