PAYROLL SPECIALIST - Hybrid

We are working with a Boston based client to assist them with an opening for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join their team. This is a hybrid role requiring 2 days onsite and the rest of the week work from home.

Responsibilities:

• Process a multi-state payroll.
• Reviews, reconciles, and audits pay details on a bi-weekly basis..
• Reviews payroll data reports for inconsistencies and errors, and maintains the integrity of the payroll system.
• Prepare reports of payroll.
• Partner with finance for reporting and payroll reconciliation needs.
• Support annual HR compliance reports.
• Oversee retirement plan contribution mapping and employer match calculations. Support annual audits.
• Remain current on all payroll related trends, specifically government reporting and changes in federal, state and local tax regulations.
• Ensure the HCM system remains up to date for policy and regulation changes.
• Support annual audits of payroll, 401(k), defined benefit plans, workers' compensation, Internal Controls and other audit requests.
• Support reconciliation of benefit invoices and other payroll related expenses.
• Special projects as assigned.

Technical Skills:

• 3+ years of Multi-state processing experience
• ADP WorkforceNow experience required
