Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of the Recruiting Process for management, maintenance, clerical, and other positions.
  • Assist Hiring Managers with requisition process; track status of requisitions.
  • Write and/or finalize the development of job specifications/descriptions, summaries, and job announcements.
  • Research cost efficient and broad reaching means for advertising open positions.
  • Post positions on company website, job boards, social media, and to unions when required.
  • Collect, review, and maintain job applications and resumes.
  • Screen applicants; record and save screening conversations to share with/refer to Hiring Managers.
  • Coordinate interviews with hiring manager and maintain communication with applicants in the process.
  • Collect reference/background checks on proposed candidates.
  • Present job offers, coordinate salary and start date details, assure arrangements for new hire process.
  • Communicate with pertinent internal contacts to facilitate the hiring process.
  • Send denial letters/emails to rejected candidates.
  • Document recruitment records/activities in HRIS, and produce reports.
  • Administer tests, surveys, and other screening tools for selection assessment.
  • Analyze jobs and identify job related objective tools for determine suitability for promotion/transfer of internal candidates.
  • Liaise between temporary staffing agencies, candidates, and internal clients.
  • Provide support to Coordinator when requested; train on recruiting methods, job skills, resume building, etc.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field with a minimum of 2 years of Recruiting experience in a Human Resources environment.
  • Experience filling permanent and temporary positions.
  • Working knowledge of compensation methods, practices, and techniques is a plus.
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication and analytical skills.
  • Must be detail oriented, committed to meeting deadlines, and able to manage various stages of the recruiting lifecycle for numerous positions concurrently. Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws is essential.
