Revenue Accountant- REMOTE

Our client, a tech company, is looking for a Revenue Accountant to join their team on a temp to permanent basis. The role is fully remote. This candidate will be responsible for all aspects f the revenue cycle including preparing month end reconciliations and contribute to the monthly financial close process. Requirements include: Experience with ASC-606 and 2+ years of experience and experience using SAP is preferred

Responsibilities:

• Perform monthly revenue close procedures, including the preparation of revenue, deferred and accrued revenue journal entries, supporting schedules, and reconciliations
• Review client contracts to ensure appropriate revenue recognition treatment
• Validate contract information entered in systems against our clients' contract to maintain data integrity and accuracy in CRM
• Help improve processes with the growth of the business and revenue streams while maintaining revenue recognition policies and procedures
• Assist with invoicing and collections
• Compose ad hoc reports and/or spreadsheets as requested by management
• Work with FP&A team to help explain and understand monthly variances
• Prepare audit and tax-support schedules for areas of responsibility, as requested by internal and external teams to ensure the timely completion of audits and tax returns.
• Cross train with the team to help provide support when needed
• Evaluate and offer suggestions to process improvements and evaluate financial internal controls.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Basic Qualifications:

• 3 years' experience in auditing or accounting
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
• Proficient in Excel
• Experience with SAP and Salesforce preferred
