Litigation Paralegal

A distinguished law firm located in Pittsburgh with a national reach in Bankruptcy & Restructuring, Creditors' Rights and Business Law is seeking a Paralegal to join their Creditors' Rights practice group.

Responsibilities:

• Assist Attorneys with: All aspects of creditor's rights cases, including managing case files, maintaining calendars, and tracking deadlines.
• Legal Research: Conduct legal research on relevant laws, regulations, and case precedents.
• Document Management: Draft and organize various legal documents, including, but not limited to, pleadings, motions, summary judgments, discovery requests, and responses.
• Prepare trial materials: including trial binders, witness lists, and exhibit lists. Communicate with courts and clients when needed.
• Handle miscellaneous tasks related to the creditors' rights practice, such as working with firm software, working with the firm's accounting department, and coordinating with other team members.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Paralegal degree or paralegal certificate preferred.3 years of experience in a law firm. Experience in debt collection, foreclosure, and/or tax collection weighed heavily.
• Skills: Excellent communication skills, Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, Detail-oriented with the ability to manage a high volume of cases and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency: Legal research and case management software: Pro-Law and Collection Master preferred.
