Tax Accountant - Hybrid/Chelmsford, MA

We are working with a global media company that has an immediate need for a Tax Accountant. This will start as a contract to help while someone is out on leave and then to transition them back into the office. There is potential that this will go permanently as there may be head count. This reports to the controller, and is expected to be onsite in their finance office 2-3 days a week in Chelmsford.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare sales tax filings for multiple legal entities each of which have multiple sales tax jurisdictions
• Prepare use tax for purchased items that were not properly taxed
• Prepare check requests for tax payments
• Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliation for sales and use tax accounts
• Organize sales tax audit responses as required

Qualifications:

• Degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred
• Proficient with Excel
• 3+ Years Experience in Tax.
• Peoplesoft is nice to have.
