A company in Plymouth Meeting, PA Is looking to hire a Senior Accountant. This person will be an integral part of a dynamic Accounting team and contribute to the success of a long-standing, yet growing organization. A successful candidate for this role will have 3+ years' experience in accounting, be able to work independently, and have a can-do attitude

Responsibilities:

  • Drive process efficiencies that can enhance the timeliness and accuracy of the financial close process
  • Prepare journal entries to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures
  • Analyze month end results for individual business units and work with the field to understand and resolve unusual activity and report results to Leadership.
  • Evaluate and manage existing and new US GAAP accounting pronouncements for the company and its US/international subsidiaries (i.e. ASC 606, ASC 842 and ASC 326/ASU 2016-13).
  • Work directly with external auditors/consultants
  • Assist in financial due diligence for acquisitions.
  • Assist with budgeting, planning and analyses
  • Prepare routine and ad hoc schedules, statements, reports and analytics as necessary
  • Assist with year-end activities such as 1099 preparation, annual audit, and tax schedule preparation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or closely related field of study
  • 3+ years of increasingly responsible accounting experience
  • Strong technical GAAP knowledge
  • Extensive experience with general ledger functions and the month-end / quarter-end / year-end close processes
  • Strong organization and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail, thoroughness, and accuracy
  • Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and formulas
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
