Senior Accounting Consultant - Hybrid / Boston

We are working with the North American HQ of a software company based in Boston to assist with their need for a Senior Accounting Consultant to help with the Year End Close.

Responsiblities:

• Balance sheet accounts are reconciled every month
• Any reconciling differences to be documented and resolved on a timely basis
• Maintain a reporting timetable (quarterly timetable with main key dates and monthly timetable with relevant detail) that will provide a control / monitor on the reporting process
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of all transaction in the P&L and produce monthly TB and P&L
• Prepare and review management/CRMA accounts
• Quarterly SAP reporting (consolidation pack)
• Ensure suitable analysis of tax information to support tax return production requirements and liaising with the external tax consultants; including R&D tax credits
• All Statutory Tax filings are made in a timely fashion
• Ensure Sales Tax accounts are correctly reconciled and reported with the appropriate supporting documentation
• Tax payments are made correctly and on time
• Lead the tax audits
• Manage all other tax related deliverables, e.g. Property tax, Franchise tax, Business licence tax
• Ensure the reported P&L's correctly reflect the position of the business though the appropriate use of accruals and prepayments
• Responsible for accurate and timely preparation of payroll journal and the associated activities (following receipt of data from HR) with collaboration with the offshore team

Technical Skills:

• Bachelors degree (Accounting / Finance preferred)
• 10+ years of g/l & tax experience
• CPA (preferred)
